Another Forest Needs Your Help -
Trillium Woods north of Freeland, Whidbey Island, WA is available for purchase as the logging company that owned it defaulted on the loan. The Whidbey Camano Land Trust has until September 10th, 2010 to raise money to purchase and preserve the 664 acre property. So far they have raised about 2/3rds of the $4.2 million needed. Please

Help save a forest - The town of Index is looking for help to purchase the forested hill just outside of town before loggers cut it down. They have until June 30, 2008 to purchase the land. It would be a shame for this to be clear cut as the hillside is right before the entrance to the new conservation area approved by Bush. Please
